Christmas Break is here and that marks our first semester if Kindergarten! These first few months have been great! Bailey has learned so much in these past months. She has started to read books and she is always sounding out words whenever she sees them. She is writing all the time, everywhere we go she always has a pad of paper and a pencil that she is constantly writing and drawing. It has been so much fun to watch her grow academically.
I have really enjoyed all the opportunities that I have to volunteer at the school. I love being able to be there to participate in all the special activities they do at the school. I love being able to see Bailey and all her friends at school. Whenever I walk down the hall I always here "Hi Baileys mom" and it makes me smile! I am also the homeroom mother for her class. I planned the Halloween party and the Christmas Party this year and that was a lot of fun for me!
Unfortunately Bailey has missed a good number of days at school this year due to being sick. We have really had some troubles with her Asthma and she eventually ended up in the hospital for a night. We are still having some troubles with her asthma and her being sick but we are working through it. The school is very supportive and I do my best to work on her schoolwork with her at home on the days that she is absent. Hopefully this all gets better!
We are very excited for the next semester. I know that it is going to be summer break in no time and then we are going to be in First grade! :) She is such a big girl and I love watching her grow up!
Here are a few pics from the past few months....enjoy!
The night that we had to stay in the hospital. :( The people at Children's Mercy were so nice and they treated us so well!
Bailey's Halloween Party at school. All the kids got to put on their costumes and parade around all the other classrooms.
While they were parading around I got to set up their tables with treats and goodies. I had special crafts set out that they could do at their table also.
Bailey was Strawberry Shortcake for Halloween.
We went on a trip to Ohio for a wedding. Bailey and I had matching sequin outfits! :) I loved them! We had a great time in Ohio.
This was Baileys first School Skating party! She had some friends there and I think that they spent most of the time at the games and not on the rink! Although she was holding onto the side she can skate by herself!
Abby and I like to go up to the school and eat lunch with Bailey as often as we can. She always loves for us to bring her Subway or McDonald's for lunch. While we are there we get to talk with all the kids in Baileys class and they are always hilarious!
